Peacock Commision

Here is my latest creation! I just literally finished it. This is by far the largest painting I have ever done. This is a 20in by 36in painting. It was a commission I received not to long ago. It has most definitely been a challenge but a good one.

Hello again! Here are two new paintings I finished today. They are more simple than my previous paintings, but I had a lot of fun painting them.

I based the one above vaguely on a peacock. The colors are similar, but the tail is more flowy. 

With this one I was not sure what to paint. I first painted the background and then did not know what to do on top of it. So I just began painting without putting much thought into it and this is what I got.

Sunsets

Hello everyone! This is my newest painting. You may notice that this painting looks similar to one of my earlier paintings. That is because someone I know asked me to paint them a sunset with birds. It was a lot of fun to paint. The top picture is the sunset before I painted the branches and the birds.

The bottom is the finished product.

Paintings

Here are two paintings I painted this week. The elephant one is painted with a blue watercolor background (very light) and oil paint. Then I used buttons for the balloons and glitter glue for the string. The bird painting I used strictly acrylics. I did use water (which I know is a no-no with acrylics) to smooth the sunset and the branches. And I would have used art oil like I was supposed to but I was too lazy to go out and buy some :P lol

Wedding Shower

Today was my sister's wedding shower! It went really well and the decorations ended up looking great! Here is one of the tables that were decorated! With some of the food for the guests on the table! The food was from Chick-fil-a! yum!!!!

Quail Family

A few days ago I was with my mom at the house and we looked outside in our backyard only to find the cutest quail family! They apparently made a nest in one of our plants and made an adorable family! We had to take some picture so I am sharing them with you! enjoy! :)

Idea Done!

 Here is the bird garland idea I had! I am actually quite happy with the results of my garland!  My mom made the actual flowers for me. She painted the edges of the flowers with water color pink and got a simple flower garland instruction online. The birds I cut out of scrapbook paper. (I cut out about 30 birds of various sizes) I found the bird shapes on Google and just cut them out. Then I got a hole punch and punched a hole in every other flower and every bird. I used white string to tie the birds to the flowers. (Sorry for my poor quality of pictures) I am not the best photagrapher!) haha!

Idea?

HI! Sorry I have been gone for a few days. I have been very busy with my sister's wedding shower! Speaking of which, I found this idea on Pinterest and decided to make it for my sister's wedding shower (because the theme is birds)  as a decoration! Of course I am changing it up a little bit! I will post my finished product soon!!

Birdies :)

My older sister is getting married on June 1 and I am happy to report that I am her maid of honor :) The theme of her wedding is birds and for her wedding shower I decided to make little birds for the favors! (I found this idea on Pinterest.com) I bought candy coated almonds and then also bought black and yellow edible gel writers. On the almonds I put 2 black eyes and a yellow beak :) I think they are rather cute
